About Epilepticon
We offer a comfortable outpatient alternative to inpatient hospital stays. We focus on practical education about epilepsies and their treatment, the assessment of MRIs and seizure videos and, coming soon, outpatient digital seizure monitoring with continuous videometry.
Our vision
At Epilepticon, we stand for an effective and lasting strengthening and improvement of outpatient care for people with epilepsy. To achieve this, we are creating a comfortable and professional outpatient alternative to inpatient hospital stays, focusing on practical education about epilepsies and their treatment as well as the assessment of MRIs and seizure videos. Soon we will also be able to monitor seizures digitally on an outpatient basis – for optimal, safe and fast care.

EPIMON
Automated detection of seizure movements
Epilepsy affects 1% of the population and is one of the most common neurological disorders. In Germany alone, approximately 400,000 to 800,000 people have epilepsy. Every person with epilepsy has a 24 times higher probability of an unexpected death (SUDEP: Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
With EPIMON, we soon want to give people with epilepsy and their relatives their freedom back and enable a more independent life.
EPIMON stands for the automated detection of complex seizure movements in epilepsy, which examines and classifies human movement activity on the basis of three-dimensional visual movement information.
How does EPIMON work?
Using high-resolution 3D cameras, individual and recurring epileptic seizure movements are detected early, so that relatives, the treating physician or caregivers can react in time. Early detection of an epileptic seizure allows safety measures to be initiated in good time.
